History
Established in 1991, The Dudswell Tourist and Cultural Association is a non-profit organisation. The Association Head Office is located at La Maison de la Culture, in Dudswell. The Dudswell Community Arts Centre, named La Maison de la Culture, shelters The Tourist Reception Office, the Louis-Émile Beauregard Collection, the Éva Tanguay Exhibit, the Art Gallery, the rural gift shop and the Dudswell Tourist and Cultural Association office which keeps its entire tourist, cultural and natural attractions of the region running and developing all year round.
The Dudswell Tourist and Cultural Association works in the fields of culture, heritage and tourism is sponsored / supported / supervised by the regional Municipality of the county (MRC) of the Haut-Saint-François. A regional Municipality of the county
(MRC) of the Haut-Saint-François organisation, structured in culture, in heritage and in tourism. It is also one of the touristic and cultural committees of the Haut-Saint-François which benefits from permanent human resources for its administration, animation, management, development and promotion.
The Dudswell Touristic and Cultural Association is an organisation of recognized local and regional development, which allows the realization of several generative projects of collective wealth.
Mission
The Dudswell Tourist and Cultural Association is a non-profit organization which aims, in its mission, to develop the Dudswell tourist and cultural potential, thus generating economic and socio-cultural most advantageous results to the whole community of Dudswell as well as to the MRC of the Haut-Saint-François.
To succeed in doing so, it works on an annual basis offering the community and tourists socio-cultural, educational, patrimonial, touristic and entertaining activities. It also aims at protecting and maximizing the value of its patrimonial sites, natural attractions as well as its cultural and artistic resources.
